Notes for corporate use

Guidance for citing these honours in the Chairman’s biography, board papers, annual reports, corporate profiles and website content.

Formal designation

Cite the Thai decoration as “Fourth Class of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand (Chatturathaphon Mongkut Thai), bestowed by His Majesty the King of Thailand”, rather than media shorthand such as “Medal of Civilian Honours”.

Order of precedence

Cite the Order of the Dignified Rule of the Muleege Dynasty first, followed by the National Award of Honour, the Thai royal decoration, the President’s Tourism Gold Award, the Maldives–Singapore recognition and the Corporate Maldives Lifetime Achievement Award.

Under archival confirmation

Two further recognitions — a government recognition for attracting Chinese tourists, and the MATI Golden Jubilee tourism-pioneer awards of 17 July 2022 — are held as research leads and are not published as named honours until a primary record is located.

Archival note

The President’s Office English release of 11 November 2025 spells the name “Mohamed Solih”, while Damas, the Thai Government and the 2022 National Awards record use “Mohamed Salih”. The biography, the Damas connection, the Honorary Consul role and the economic history confirm that both refer to the same person. Archive searches should cover Mohamed Salih, Mohamed Solih, Damas Salih, Damas Saleeh and Dhivehi spelling variants.
